Title A name given to the resource The Hudson and Manhattan Railroad Station Description An account of the resource The Hudson and Manhattan railroad station served the rapid-transit trains to NYC. Commonly referred to as the Hudson tubes, the trains provided easy access to midtown Manhattan. The tunnel was completed in 1910, the tubes began operating in 1911 from the station located near Park Place. In March 1935 the tubes were moved to the third level of the New Pennsylvania Railroad Station. The NJ Performing Arts Center opened across the street from the old station in 1997.
