            <text>The William Lehman Architectural Papers Collection contains approximately 5,000 items and spans the years 1896-1934. An indexed series of drawings executed for the Newark firm of William E. Lehman, Architect. This architectural firm was founded in 1896 by William E. Lehman (1874-1951), a year after graduating from the Cornell University School of Architecture. His brother, DavidJ. Lehman, joined the firm in 1912. The firm designed public buildings and private dwellings throughout New Jersey, and in other Eastern states.&#13;
